Northern California

As a California native I'm pretty embarrassed to say, that I have never been farther up the coast then, San Luis Obispo. So, a road trip up the coast was not only exciting but it was unknowing for me, an uncharted territory. My expectations were high but I soon came to realize the beauty of it is, unimaginable. From Cambria's, "Pine's by the Sea"  to Big Sur's almost time capsule of rustic logging and cool hidden eateries to San Siemon's natural simple beauty to the hidden thriving Monterey Bay's Cannery Row to the views, the views of coastal majesty, it was all... magic.
"Unmapped", would be the word to use for our getaway. Sometimes those are the best trips to be on (sometimes), and this trip was one of them. With no real plans, the coast was ours! Stumbling along trails, capturing that one last picture for the 10th time, hanging out with fellow travelers made for the best memories.
I soon discovered that I truly belong to Northern California. The mix of my love for the woods combined with a full serving of ocean shoreline, arriving back home was bitter sweet. My dinky camera phone does not give justice the aesthetics of the coast line. The first of many great adventurers to come...
